Christian; Muslim; Jewish; Buddhist; Pagan; Atheist; Agnostic. Many different religions are practiced throughout the world. Every one of the religions has one thing in common: the belief that it is immoral to harm others. So, why, then do we feel the need
every five centuries, or so, to go on a "religious mission" to "cleanse" the world of those who do not share our religious beliefs? The Christians did it all through the Middle Ages, attempting to reclaim the Holy Land; Al-Qaida claimed it was Allah who had them
crash planes into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. I, personally, am an agnostic (one who believes it is impossible to know whether there is a God) and I see Judaism, Islam, and Christianity as one religion; I see the belief in any religion as an attempt (
that has lost its purpose) at explaining common things. I feel, strongly, that people who feel the need to believe in a god is someone who is weak, and very vulnerable and gullible. Now, I am not, in any way, saying that (If you are Christian; Muslim; Jewish; etc.)
you are wrong and that you should be punished for believing in what you do -- and I would hope you feel the same about me. I don't feel any religious quest made in History can be justified under any circumstances -- except for in cases such as existed when Mohammad,
Jesus, or any other spiritual hero had to escape from a place where they were persecuted.
Right. Now, my thoughts on the Antichrist. I'm sure many of you are wondering about that. In History class we were doing a study of the Crusades, and there was one fact (well, many actually) that irked me: the Christian "army" slaughtered thousands of innocent
people on their quest for the Holy Land. How do you justify something like that? It was totally barbaric, and complety immoral and contradictory of every principle in the Bible. I mean, it blatantly says in the Ten Commandments, "THOU SHALT NOT KILL"! Hello?!?
In general, the human race really sucks. Take, for example, the fact that we consider ourselves to be the most advanced species on the planet, and yet we don't even realize that we are ruining; trashing the world for the rest of its inhabitants. I think we should
exterminate ourselves. Now, before you jump to the conclusion that I am a psyco person who should be put in an insane asylum, "listen" to what I have to say.
JESSUMZ: Hate humans! Must kill humans! Save everything else!
(I'll just call it a religious thing [when everyone asks me after I die].)
JESS K: I don't hate humans. I just think, as a race we need to realize we are not "the shit" of the animal world and get it through our thick heads that we are 100% dumbasses.
JESSUMZ: No! It's too late for that. We should exterminate ourselves and rid the world of our stupidity.
KURT: You should join Kevin's militia for the apocalypse of man. Religion can be our reason, because all religion is justification for the slaughter of other hypocrites and weirdos and stuff.
KEVIN: Our militia will establish a new world order. We're not going to kill everyone.
KURT: Yes we are!
KEVIN: Damn you, Kurt.
The conversation continues on a bit, but I only remember this part because it was written down. Yep, and thus they have all renamed me the Antichrist. And this is the whole purpose of the column. Actually, I have more to say, but only a little. Have you ever
thought about the dinosaurs? I mean really thought about them? What if they became so advance (by our standards) that one of them decided that they, too, were ruining the environment around them, and should be killed. Perhaps that dinosaur put together
a bomb so powerful it had the ability to kill all the dinosaurs on the Earth, and when he blew it up, the bomb left a massive crater on the Earth, leaving behind a concentrated amount of metal. This could explain why we, today, have surmised that it was a meteor that
crashed into the Earth causing the extinction of the dinosaurs. Have you ever thought about that? Maybe if...
