It was invented, along with the holiday itself, by candy companies.

The Saints play every other football team.
Catholics honored their dead.

3. Why was the fire in every Celtic household extinguished on All Hallows Eve?
To save fuel for the community fire they had that night.
So they wouldn't be bothered while they slept.
To discourage any spirits from posessing their bodies.


4. Where did the name 'Jack-O-Lantern' come from?
An Irish man who trapped the Devil up a tree by placing a lit candle in its hollows insides.
An Irish drunkard.
It's the name of the candy company president who began the Halloween tradition.

6. Where did Halloween get the reputation for being a time of evil?
The belief that Druids were evil people.
Pagans, and Satanists give it a bad name. (Even though pagan's aren't evil...hello, they worship the Earth!)
